Lyrics
When Adam and Eve took that apple from the tree ............they got busted
God said to them.... that He could never ever go and trust 'em
Well they both hit the road... had some children I am told
Their children had more children and hey mankind did unfold
They kept on with livin'...they kept on with life......and some lovin'.
Yeah they got on with livin' and they got on with life..... and some lovin'
With their backs against the wall and no clothes to wear at all....kept on lovin'
Did'nt matter not a jot....... just how hard or bad it got
They were happy just together ......they were happy with their lot
They kept on with livin'....they kept on with life....and some lovin'.
When Johnny and June found together they could croon....they got busted
Johnny's cheatin' on his partner....hangin' with a Carter....he can't be trusted
Yeah the papers had a ball...but they proved to one and all
Fourty years makin' music..... showin' lovin' was their call
They kept on with livin'... they kept on with life......and some lovin'.
Yeah they got on with livin' and they got on with life..... and some lovin'
With their backs against the wall they stood so proud and tall....kept on lovin'
Did'nt matter not a jot....... just how hard or bad it got
They were happy just together ......they were happy with their lot
They kept on with livin'... kept on with life....and some lovin'.
(music break with saxaphone)
So when the rent man comes around and you gotta go to ground....caus ya busted
And the powerbill is due and the cops are chasin' you.....don't get flusted
Caus when ya down and out you see....take a tiny tip from me
When the going's gettin' tougher...the tougher you will be
Keep on with ya livin' ...keep on with ya life......and some lovin'
Yeah..... you just keep on with livin'..... keep on with life....and some lovin'
A little lovin'....just a little lovin'.
